A kid that wears all denim outfits, is incapable of making eye contact when talking, feels the need to greet everyone in his immediate surroundings, and can make the most comfortable of situations awkward.

can also be used as a title for someone that is an awkward, nervous, or uneasy person.

awkward pirate

Like the awkward turtle, the awkward pirate is a hand gesture used when an awkward situation arises. A single hand is used to cover one eye, and the free thumb is spun in a clockwise manner.

Awkward turtle dive

Like the awkward turtle , but used when the situation is made even more awkward by further input either by yourself or someone else in the conversaton.

You make the same turtle hand formation as before, but make your hand turtle take a dive.

Bill: (jokingly says) Hey, don't give me herpes!
Jill: I can't give you herpes unless they flare up
Bill: ....*Awkward turtle*
Jack: (truthfully says) I have herpes too, and no it can't be spread unless you have visible sores
