Once a great TV network that aired afternoon soap operas that night. Due to increased DVR use, The Walt Disney Company which owned the network decided to launch another kids network instead and transformed the channel into Disney Junior. Some TV systems try to keep the channel on their lineup by adding Disney Junior and keeping SoapNet, but unfortunately the company officially ended the network on December 31, 2013.
