A phrase that can be said in self-defense when someone is verbally harassing you. It implies that you do not care if they hate you for what you are or what you do, and that you will not conform to their ways to satisfy them. Useful in situations involving politics, choosing sides in an argument, etc. It is a perfect saying when you are under verbal attack by hate-filled people.

Some bitch: You suck! That's because you're a Republican!

Often times the guy has very Narcissistic tendencies and has an over inflated opinion of them selves. Often used in school cultures that have a high machismo aspect and the guys can't imagine that a girl couldn't like them.
Often times the statement follows when a girl acts normal but the guy takes it as a major romantic interest.
Occasionally the guy is correct but the lack of humbleness shows his character to be very egocentric.
