Florence, Alabama is a small city in northern Alabama and is the county seat of Lauderdale County. It is host to Florence High, who have some pretty bitchin' athletics and an amazing theater department, and also the University of North Alabama who have the same. There are plenty of private Christian schools to choose from if public schooling sounds a little rough.
There are a ton of museums and Frank Lloyd Wright has a house here. No one cares about any of that, though. Most people only go to eat at the amazing, relatively unknown restaurants and go shopping.
Notable sights include Rivertown Coffee, Crocodile Eds, Wal-Mart, Deibert Park, Ricebox, Wok n Roll, the Mall, UNA, Shoals Theater, the Smokehouse, and generally just the whole downtown area.
Also a mecca for those too lazy to shell out gas money to go to Huntsville.

The 13 stands for the letter "M" which means they are an affiliate of the mexican mafia - as M is the 13th letter in the alphabet
They also go by F13 for short and normally mark there territory by graffiti with arrows and F13. it can be observed when in the Florencia are of Cali at the back of Liquor stores and street corner walls
Recently, as of 2007, they have been in the news for killing random black people (innocent) as they did not know if they had gang affiliations. It has created alot of racial tension - particularyly in the prison population as seen in 2007's black/mexican prison riots.
