Evil vampire resembling a witch in Albanian mythology and folklore. She is priorly known for sucking blood from newborn babies and young children and then turning into a flying insect.

The word is commonly used by elders to scare children if they do bad things. It is also used as an insult against a woman who is mean.

"If you do not listen Shtriga will come! "
