1. a kind of joyous or victorious feeling that one experiences when some type of misfortune befalls a competitive friend or frenemey, which is immediately followed by guilt
Dude 1: Kurt's ex-grilfriends have started a band, and they make fun of him really bad in all of their songs. Guess what? They just got offered a major label record deal for a lot of money.

Dude 2: Wow. Well, I'm experiencing a kind of semi schadenfreude right now. Kurt is my pal, but he definitely had it coming.

Deriving pleasure from someone else's terrible moustache/ facial hair.
Also knowing that you're own moustache is far superior to theirs.

This word means " feeling pleasure/ happiness from other people's pain and suffering. It is originated from Germany and was most commonly used by Nazis. So technically it's a Nazi word. Everybody experiences and feels "schadenfreude" at some point in their lives. Don't act like you don't laugh at people who trip up the stairs in public.
