The best way to define nightcore is to take a look at what it REALLY is.

I think of nightcore as a fast and happy version of a song.

nightcore is also the name of a group from the early 2000s

Overall i think that nightcore is basically a fast and happy music genre, most songs will have a nightcore version to it, like, Please don't stop that music Nightcore version.

I believe it was based of off the group nightcore, because their songs are are happy fast and the voices of the people who sing it seem a bit higher and smoother, often hard to understand, and that is what happens when somebody makes a nightcore version of a song.

I was listening to nightcore the other day, it was awesome!

anti-nightcore

Anti-Nightcore is any song that is created by slowing down the melody (sometimes), a slow rhythmic beat (usually), and ALWAYS making the pitch lower than the norm. Almost all the anti-nightcore music genre are original songs made into anti-nightcore by BOTH anti-nightcore AND nightcore fans.

(Similar definition to nightcore.)

"Dude, have you heard this awesome new nightcore song?"
"Yeah, but listen to it anti-nightcored!"
"Huh?"
"It's the opposite of nightcore."
"So you mean it's slowed down?"
"Exactly!"

Bass Nightcore is like nightcore, but fast beats, the main melody (and voice) are pitched up, but there's very low bass added; so the contrast between very high and very low is created.

Nightcore

It is not necessarily higher pitch than the original, it is just tweaked in any way to improve on the original as much as possible, the video must be enough to tell a story, a moving image with a good song is actual Nightcore , while high pitching a bad song over a anime pdf from google is not Nightcore in any goddamn, that is the work of people trying to benefit of being related to the Nightcore Covers fame. It is also not after the Norwegian band, just un unlucky coincidence. Nightcore means remastered songs, there are also many Nightcore bands because taste differs and that's OK. They are not greedy weebs because hardly ever a good enough song doesn't have copyright, I have a completely demonized Nightcore channel, it's a nice hobby, also any true Nightcore fan shows they just can't help but fix things, like OCD for good quality stuff.

Random person: Hey this new hit song is soo good, what do you think?
Nightcore Youtuber: Ugh, it could use some speed and bass boost, but yeah, sure...
Later that day, after 6 hours of indecisive work, fixed....
