Object of affection

Essence given to an inanimate object due to its relation to a good memory or memories. Usually people save these items and take care of them for a long time because of the emotional value given to the object
Person 1: John won’t ever sell that old Ford Bronco, won’t he?

Person 2: It was given to him by his late father when he just turned 17, he died two months later after he gave him the Bronco. It’s one of the few memories that he has of him, and it’s now an object of affection. There’s no price tag to the memories he lived in that suv.
