Snoodle

In Alaska snoodle refers to a snow noodle. This is usually seen snaked along the tops of lights in the intersection. The snow looks like a pool noodle along the top but has a fallen curve. This looks like a snow snake or snow noodle or snoodle.

It is a popular winter pastime to look for snoodles and see how long before they fall.

Snoodles also form on the tops of fences, signs and the draping of the snow is what defines it.

I saw a snoodle on the Johanson lights.

People in Fairbanks Alaska accidentally started naming long pieces of snow that resembled worms or snakes as the temperatures started warming up. The name started as "snow noodle" and someone shortened it to "snoodle"
