Lou is not sure of how many apples are in her fruit basket - but it looks about half-half... therefore the percentish is 50%~ The mathematical symbol looks like % (percent)but using a tild on its diagonal: o~o, shorthand %~ ("Percent-ish").

Much like a younger girl may have potential (definition 3) to be attractive when she's older.

The most cynical people in the world preach about hope, optimism, and a positive attitude about everything in life. Hope is what weak, pretentious people cling to when they have nothing left but desperation to overcome anything and anyone left.
