The GI effect is when a reenactor or someone roleplaying as an American soldier isn't a good sport and dies from the opposing side in war reenactments. The GI effect can also be found in online games such as Garry's Mod where people on the American team get mad whenever they are killed in the game and try to get an admin to ban their killer.
