The Flash Era

The flash era was a time of good memes flash games/animations and newgrounds, it was a good time and no one can change that. Albino black sheep also was a thing and so was animutation. Charlie the unicorn, salad fingers, and lamas with hats came out of that. With some other famous ones like ultimate showdown. free online games were called "Flash Games" and kids were praised not being called stupid 12 year olds. Great games like stick war came out of it. The main kicker for this era was newgrounds and the portal. But so was Albinoblacksheep(my personal favourite) where stuff was submitted not through a portal but a forum. Oh and Numa Numa dance was big. It was great!

Reverse Flash

Someone who likes to use a vibrating hand to explode people's heart. They also have been trying there whole life, "chasing" after someone, so obsessed with this someone trying to be this someone. Also they have a tendency to kill mothers in front of there little boy and ruin his entire life.

"Hey is that the Reverse Flash, I think he just killed my mother".

2. Actual flashbacks to actual battles. Can happen with PTSD.

Origin
This originally had a literal meaning, i.e. a real flash in a real pan. Muskets used to have small pans to hold the gunpowder charge. An attempt to fire the musket in which the gunpowder flared up without firing a bullet would be called a 'flash in the pan'.
origin, The term is known since the late 17th century. Elkanah Settle, in Reflections on several of Mr. Dryden's plays 1687, had this to say:

"although the group had a number one hit, it was only a one hit wonder making them a flash in the pan."

"If Cannons were so well bred in his Metaphor as only to flash in the Pan, I dare lay an even wager that Mr. Dryden durst venture to Sea."

Flash rape

To be photographed without consent and having been blinded by the flash of the camera. To be left feeling disorientated and confused; like a rabbit in caught in headlights.
