A term based on the NES game of the 80's, meaning to wrangle and configure items into a space that might not otherwise hold them.

We couldn't fit all the furniture and boxes in the moving van until Cyd came and tetris'd them into place.

I tetris'd all the guests into the living room so that everyone was comfortable and could see the TV.

Refridgerator Tetris

The process of organizing a large amount of groceries that appear as though they may not fit in such a specific way that allows everything to fit in the refridgerator. Typically, a guest or a child will upset the order of the contents and refridgerator tetris will need to be played a second time.

"Yeah, man- there was so much stuff in the fridge over at Stu's house, it was like refridgerator tetris when I had to get the milk."

Uhaul Tetris

The act of orienting ones belongings in the back of a moving truck in such a way that the entire volume of the truck is filled, front to back and top to bottom.

I didn't think we'd be able to fit the pool table, ATV, entertainment center, and waterbed all in this truck here, but all it took was some clever Uhaul Tetris and we got it all in there.

Tetrislexia

The inability to differentiate between inverse Tetris pieces (such as "Z" and "S" pieces) due to increased gravity and/or poor reflexes caused by sleep deprivation (from playing too much Tetris) or lack of skill (from not playing enough Tetris).

I almost beat my high score last night, but the tetrislexia got to me. I confused the "L" pieces and totally screwed myself!
