Hiatus

A period in which there is no response from something, but there is knowledge that it shall resume. Good examples are The Gorilaz and their albums, The manga series Berserk, and my account.

Weeb: ahhhhhh why has the creator of my favorite manga not make an issue today!?!? Must be on a darn hiatus!

Hiatus

A taboo word for Directioners, because it reminds them of the fact that the boys' (One Direction's) math skills are terrible.

The most infamous H-I-A-T-U-S of all times was originally supposed to last 18 months (which by recent resource has proven to actually be 7 years and counting).

However, Directioners are not losing hope (and probably never will) that One Direction will eventually reunite in one way or another. It wouldn't even surprise this writer if they'd still expect a reunion when they already passed on to heaven (the boys are occasionally referred to as gods for a reason).

Harry: "So we all agree that we're NOT going on a break, but on a hiatus?"
Liam: "Yes, 'hiatus' has a completely different meaning than a break. And we're no doubt coming back!"
Niall: "Agreed. But how long will our hiatus last, tho?"
Louis *counting on fingers*: "According to my calculations, it should last about 18 months."
Liam: "You sure about that? You once said 36+6 is 38..."
Louis: "And you once thought Japan is close to Australia, so what's your point?"
Niall: "Touché."
Harry: "Okay, an 18 month hiatus it is. Now who's gonna tell the fans?"

HIATUS! is pronounced (Hi-Ay-Tus) which is always spoken in a shouting, heroic, manner and spelled in all capital letters. This unicorn has a 46 inch penis and has a feet licking fetish. A disease caught by members of a fandom while they wait for new content to be released. Since hiatuses can be quite long for most series, hiatus flu is usually chronic and severe.

"Marty has spent the last month doing nothing but writing fanfiction about his favorite cartoon. What's happened to him?"
