All the other bankers were buying Mortgage Backed Securities and SWAPS, so the econopath bought a bunch too, even though he had no idea how they worked. He felt confident because they had "triple A" ratings assigned by other econopaths. They were all victims of the econoclasts as were the depositors and shareholders that trusted them.
