Get the lol mug.The act of 'licking one's limpets' as defined in the state of Utah.
If someone ever says lol to you in Utah, you're forced by law to drag them to a beach and make them eat little sea creatures attached to rocks.

Dude #1: Lol your grandma ate my house.
Dude #2: This is Utah, you plum. Now we have to go to the freaking beach. AAAAAAAAHH.
Dude #3: Word. Lick those limpets.

2. Interjection to signify that one is vaguely amused by something.
A: Where were you yesterday?
B: I was playing all day lol.
As you see, the lol added to the end of the sentence by speaker B serves no purpose.
A: Yo, I bumped into this fat spic yesterday.
B: lol.
Speaker B is vaguely amused by A's encounter with an overweight person of Hispanic Descent.

Get the lol mug.a term commonly used on aim, texting, and just for online writing in general. short for LUAGHING OUT LOUD. although traditionally used after someone said something funny it has been replaced with ROFL, rolling on floor luaghing, or lmao, LUAGHING MY ASS OFF. now lol is commonly used after someone says something that wasnt funny, or doesnt call for a real response, just lol. also many people use it if they r describing something funny and want to complete the statement by putting lol at the end. note: if someones like LOL to you there is a 100% garuntee that they are NOT actually luaghing, and they just hinted that whatever you just said was really stupid. if someone really is "laughing out loud" they'll probably be like OMG OMG LMAO LMFAO DUDE IM LAUGHING SO HARD RIGHT NOW or something along those lines, lol just doesnt cut it these days.
