libertarian

A libertarian is someone who wants to take America back to the way it was run in the 1800s, regardless of how much the world has changed since then. Libertarians also have mean hard-ons for unregulated capitalism, believing that the "Invisible Hand" will erase poverty and create a utopia instead of what ACTUALLY happens when you let companies do whatever they want, which is:

-Children working in factories and mines
-Corporate monopolies
-Workplaces where death is likely
-Low, low wages
-Shit in your food (Read Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle")
-Even more extreme corporate corruption and political pawns than we have now.
-Getting the living fuck stomped out of you by company-hired goons for trying to organize a union (Battle of the Overpass)
"God I've got such a mean hard-on for capitalism!" *fapfapfapfapfap*

libertarian

1. Someone who thinks Somalia is a nice place to live.
2. One who thinks Ayn Rand is a good writer and isn't crazy.
3. Delves into the archives of history to base an ideology off of Industrial Age Europe in much the same way conservatives do medieval England.
4. One who thinks the free market should decide whether or not it's okay to force your children to work in African mines doing backbreaking labor, inhaling toxic fumes and whatnot for eight cents an hour.

civil liberties

Civil liberties are protections from the power of governments. Examples include:
* freedom of speech,
* freedom of the press,
* freedom of assembly,
* freedom of unwarranted searches by the government,
* trial by jury, and even
* freedom to own an AK.
That's OK, you can have my civil liberties Mr. Ashcroft. I wasn't using them anyway. At least I still have my AK.

Libertarian

A party of people who claim they take the best beliefs of both liberals and conservatives to form the perfect party.
Yet at the same time, if in power, they would merge the special and normal Olympics and have the losers beaten to death with copies of Atlas Shrugged.

Great Online Conservative/Libertarian Culling

Our times are regressing to new forms of unjustified persecution never seen before. Wake up folks. The great culling online has begun. Who's going to stand up to the media and silicon valley regime?
Reporter walks up to old lady conservative.... 'Did you know you are a Russian bot"

Lady: no I am not.

Reporter: but it shows on your Facebook that you support the 2nd amendment and have a distrust in the media as well as believe in small government.

Lady: excuse me? Are trying to false label me into silence?

Reporter: well the Russians control your Facebook page and we believe you colluded with them.

Lady: my family fought for free speech. Let's have a war with YOU the media and companies silencing conservatives.
The Great Online Conservative/Libertarian Culling makes me want to help start a new fresh revolution.

libertarian socialism

libertarian-A person who advocates liberty, especially in regard to thought or conduct.

socialism-The belief that all property should be held by the state or in common. Since most libertarian socialists are anarchists they believe in property being held in common, meaning anyone can use what ever they want whenever they feel like it.

Basically, while libertarian capitalists believe all force and coercion is wrong unless used to defend one's person or property libertarian socialists believe all force and coercion is wrong unless used to defend one's person, but not one's property since all property was originally founded on theft and relies on state coercion. Without state coercion capitalists would have to create private organizations (basically, miniature states) to enforce property 'rights'. Libertarian capitalists ignore the fact that companies would monopolize land and exclude certain companies, eventually leading to vast tracts of private property that function like modern states do.

The Spanish anarchist revolution in the '30s and the Zapatista Revolution today are examples of people trying to achieve libertarian socialism.
