Small bugs that swarm and cover your windows, cars and houses on summer evenings. They are the Houdinis at breaking into your house and blackening out your ceilings with the shear number of them.

punch a bug

A game that was played on long road trips. To pass time while stuck in a vehicle, passengers would scan the highway, streets or roads in search of a Volkswagen Beetle. Also known as a bug. The moment that you see one you point it out and punch the other passengers while saying "Punch a Bug". The object is to find the Bug before everyone else do you can punch others and avoid being punched yourself. This game is similar to "Out of State License Plate".

Friend 1 " ha ha, i saw it first! look theres a yellow Bug in the other lane."
