Look at the Rabbits

Reference to "Of Mice and Men", namely the ending where George tells Lennie to look at the rabbits so he can shoot Lennie while he's not looking. Basically means the same thing as go play in traffic; go jump off a cliff, die, etc. in addition to calling the person a retard. Could also be interpreted as a threat.

That point in a lecture, presentation or discuss in which the audience would like you to stop so they can leave. This is usually preceded by excessive rambling, jumping from topic to topic with no clear clue that the audience has had enough. The comment is typically said under your breath with a slight tone of exasperation but is clearly heard by everyone expect the speaker.

Karen “This presentation is taking forever and he is just rambling on and on.”
Presenter “Next we are going to talk about…”
Ben “I think the word you are looking for is adjourn”

The modern interpretation is corrupted from the original 'given,' not 'gifted.'
To not examine a gift is to ignore subtle compliments or insults, and can be dangerous. Such was the case in the Trojan Horse.
