A person who can be identified as a hipster but does not try to be a hipster. They are being themselves when they wear v-necks, drink PBR, and listen to The Decemberists. They do not try to follow the hipster trends.

Anti-Hipster

Often mistaken as a hipster, but actually the complete opposite. Anti-hipsters can be difficult to describe because unlike an actual hipster, they do not have definite characteristics. An anti-hipster may have heard the term hipster before, but being unfarmiliar with labels, they wouldn't know what a hipster actually is or how to spot one. While hipsters are actually very unoriginal while claiming to be so very original, every anti-hipster is completely different from another. A hipster shops at Urban Outfitters, an anti-hipster gets their clothes from a number of places. They may make them, find them, steal them, or just buy them from any store they please, because they are not concerned with labels, which actually means they arent anti-hipsters. They probably arent anything. Usually spotted with a group of almost-hipsters or by themselves, the anti-hipster is a rare sighting.

"Hey steve, want to eat there?"
"No way, it's filled with hipsters."
"Except for that one guy."
"The Anti-Hipster."
"Yeah, he has no idea what's going on."
"Sucks to be him."

Hipster Food

What it sounds like. Foods that are considered to be "in", that hipsters and the general adolescent crowd of America live for. This includes frozen yogurt (preferably Pinkberry), tea, sushi, skinny lattes, Trident Layers gum, Jamba Juice, frappes, Sour Power Straws, Vitamin Water, any obscure health food dishes, etc.

John: Dude, I need some hipster food NOW. The plaid on my shirt is starting to fade away, my beanie is disintegrating, and I can't even name a single unknown punk rock band!

Bob: Somebody get this man a double venti vanilla frappaccino with extra soy milk, stat!

Hipster

Its a pretty obscure subculture *looks down nose* you've probably not heard of them *smug look*

a group of arrogant poseurs who believe themselves to be better than you or me, because the are non-conformist. defined in this case by conforming slavishly to a different group.

they aggresively dislike the term 'Hipster' as they know that it marks them as stupid and moronic, so they call everyone else hipster, kind of like how the most aggresive homophobes call everyone else gay

"oh man, i love 'this band' they make awful music, but no ones heard of them yet. I am such a non-conformist"
