an east-coast insult. generally references a person who doesn't go out very much, smokes weed, is really into smoking weed, probably has a bong or "sick" piece, and loves white stoner culture. basically anyone who celebrates 4/20 is a herb. herbs usually dont do that much hanging out with the opposite sex. definitely a derogatory term. can be used interchangeably with the word "loser", basically the same thing just a little more specific.

it's pronounced as it's spelled (the H is not silent), just like shortened version of the guy's name Herbert- Herb.
