An electronic form of expressions in which faces such as ^_^ are used by using a dash, hyphen or period for the mouth and a wide variety of characters for the eyes.

The faces can range from happy to surprised and it is most commonly used by anime fans. All of them exaggerates in facial expressions as most anime shows do.

A brief list of expressions include:
^_^ = Happy
O_O = Shocked or surprised
^o^ = Laughing
@_@ = Confused
-.- = Sad, disappointed or embarrassment
-.-* = Angry
O.o = Raising eyebrow.
oO_Oo = Blushing.

These, are only many of the hundreds of possible expressions you could find and create.

animal farm

used as an infinitive verb as is "to animal farm" it. A reference to George Orwell's novel by the same title and signifies the sudden changing of administrative policies or rules without any acknowledgement of change. In Orwell's novel, when the pigs in charge changed the rules, they simply painted over the old rules at night while the rest of the animals were sleeping. When the animals awoke, the new rules were now the only rules, and no discussion of change was permitted. Change was never communicated and was actively denied. Thus, to "animal farm it" means to change the rules and then to pretend it was always that way and that the rule breaker was an idiot for assuming they knew the rules.

e.g. To animal farm, I.e. when a change is made to a digital document and the change is not tracked so that it appears as if no change occurred because there is no record of the previous version or the change; there is simply change.

Anime Nosebleed

An anime nosebleed is when an anime character or someone in real life gets a nosebleed due to seeing something sexual. Whilst this doesn't happen as much in real life, it is possible, because seeing something can lead to a raise in blood pressure, which can cause a nosebleed.

Joey: Yo have you seen the trailer for season 5 of dat anime???
Matt: Yeah someone got an anime nosebleed in it lol.

animal revolution

Coined on the Tony Kornheiser Show, the animal revolution involves the animal kingdom rising up against its human oppressors and taking over the world. Many of the news segments during Kornheiser's tenure on Washington Post Radio were devoted to animal stories that should tip off loyal listeners that the animal revolution is imminent.

Finding a rat in the mouth is a sure sign of the upcoming animal revolution.
