3. A wretch;- sometimes used playfully.

The Roman Chatholic Church, after creating the dark ages, was renown in calling anyone who disbelived their rhetoric, heretics; subject to punishment from the roman guard, french, italian... ect. The bulgarians seemed to have a nasty habit of sodomy, according to the church of rome. And so began the nickname bugger for the heretics of Bulgaria.

Common as buggery, something very common. Dates back to the chain-gangs (troupes of convicts -ex-poms- often chained together), building roads and other useful improvements in penal Australia. Being all men, and being chained together, buggery (anal sex) was a common past-time.

Refers to a bedroom game in Britain. Heard of it while playing a video sex trivia game in a tavern when I was a child eating there in restaurant. Refers to game in which object is to win by buggering your partner with your big toe.

Me and my girl got drunk last night started fooling around in bed and playfighting but then we started playing bugger the toe. Anyhow, she ended up with a bleeding anal sphincter and I have a perforated rectum from her long sharp toenails as a result of our lack of preparation before our intoxicated game of bugger the toe.
