A poofer is someone who blows smoke up other people's butts, i.e., tells people what they want to hear; a liar; distantly related to a brown-noser and a yes-man

Example 1

Person 1: "I can't believe how fast Jim has been promoted."

Person 2: "I can. The boss loves him because he's total poofer."

Person 1: "I'm so impressed with Chris's knowledge of football. He knows every stastitic!"

Person 2: "Oh please. Can't you tell he's a poofer?"

Poofer

A device created with piping to blow a poof of fire. When created and built correctly, they will create a sudden ball of fire. The device uses a bottle of propane, piped into an expansion tank. From the expansion tank you pipe to a valve. After the valve you have an ignition source.
Popularly used at Burning Man.
