During slave times in the United States, an apologist would defend that slavery was all right, by citing portions of the bible where God's favorites owned slaves.

A nintendo fanboy who will excuse or ignore all the mistakes that Masahiro Sakurai (Creator of Super Smash Bros) will make in favor of pretending his games are perfect.

Things a Sakurai Apologist would say

1. "Smash Tour is way better then Subspace, and it shits on Melee's adventure mode. Its not complicated, your just retarded. Heck we're lucky we even got any modes at all!"

2. "Dark Pit and Lucina are completely valid characters who Sakurai didn't waste any time creating and adding. Lucas and Wolf were complete clones who were overshadowing the other characters. Nothing wrong with cutting them.

3."(Insert overpowered character) isn't OP! you just need to get gud."

4. "Sakurai can do whatever he wants because its his game. Stop complaining. So what if you're a paying customer! Fuck you for having an opinion about a game that you're paying 60$+ for! Your negative feedback makes you, the paying customer, an ungrateful piece of shit!"

Joker apologist

An individual that believes so heavily that they relate to the Joker from the Batman series to the point they make it a part of their persona. These individuals will take a picture of themselves in Joker themed makeup and set it as their profile picture on Facebook. They also tend to relate to anything involving the Joker's psyche even if their real life in no way has anything in common to the character.Not all Joker apologist are incels but a good number of them tend to be.

BBM Apologists Syndrome is a psychological disorder that is being experienced by diehard Marcos fans. Its symptoms are factophobia or being reluctant when it comes to accepting the truth, irritated when in arguments, and saying only ad hominem statements when in time of losing up.
Factors causing BBM Apologists Syndrome are:
• disinformation such as relying on Tiktok, YouTube, Facebook, and some news services claiming as "news authority" as news sources
• influence from friends and family
• listening and reading of second-hand sources such as Mariteses instead of firsthand information sources, e.g. books, court cases, etc.
There is no medicine for being an apologist. Only truth and acceptance can heal them.
