Shotgun Approach

A last ditch effort used to pick up women that essentially entails making a series of rapid, low effort, approaches, on multiple women, in a very short period of time.  It is beneficial when the PUA has arrived at the bar or club late in the evening and has little time remaining before last call.  It is risky maneuvre because, due to the lack of effort put into each individual approach, it is likely that the PUA will face several harsh rejections prior to achieving success. Multiple rejections in such a short timeframe could leave the PUA's confidence shattered beyond repair.

Dude #1: "Dude, why the fuck have I seen Andy talking to ten different women in the past five minutes?"
Dude #2: "It's almost last call, and he showed up late, so he's resorted to implementing the Shotgun Approach."
Dude #1: "That's a risky maneuvre bro, I hope he knows what he's doing."

When a couple unexpectedly get pregnant and they say, "Why not?" and just move in together and maybe a few years down the road quietly get married and nobody says much aboot it. Eh?

"So how did you two meet?" "Oh, we were drunk and our birth control failed, eh? So we figured we'd have a Canadian shotgun wedding."

"Will there be a lot of people at your wedding?" "No, just immediate family, eh?. Didn't want to make a big fuss 'cause it's a Canadian shotgun wedding."

A Neo-hillbilly sport involving taking two shots from a 12 gauge shotgun at 10 cans assembled in triangular formation (as a pin-setter would arrange bowling pins). Players shoot 10 frames (frame= 2 shots at one setting of 10 cans), and score is kept the same way bowling scores are kept with a possible perfect score of 300.

Hey Jethro, I just finished off ten cans of Alpo and got a couple of boxes of shells, let's go shotgun bowling!

sawed-off shotgun

A regular double barrel shotgun, except someone took the time and effort to saw off a few centimeters from the barrel (and possibly the stock as well). this modified firearm is very useful for short-range crowd-control.

A sawed-off shotgun is easier to hide in a tuxedo than the original shotgun.
