Some people invite their non-Asian friends due to a lack of being Asian enough and having no Asian friends to tag them. Half-Asians can either relate and be considered normal, or they can have problems relating to the struggle of growing up Asian and be considered a banana, or worse, not even Asian.

A subtle douche may take the shape of someone not generally perceived as a douche (i.e. a nerd), but may in fact use that sterotyping as leverage to assert their ill-conceived sense of self-worth.
