Similar to limousine liberal, except the Lexus Liberal is a member of the upper middle-class rather than the upper class. Lexus liberals are characterized as being ignorant and lacking common sense in regards to political and social issues despite having a college education.

Unlike Limousine Liberals, Lexus Liberals are often considered to simply be naive rather than hypocritical.

Because Paul owned a luxury sedan, a $500,000 home, and employed the services of a housekeeper despite his beliefs in progressive taxation and helping the poor, he was referred to as a Lexus Liberal by his neighbors.

Typically a lexus is considered a high quality vehicle. But a "hood lexus" is not. While technically it is a lexus, it is typically in disrepair and very dirty.

He drives a lexus. "Oh , wow! Very nice"

No, no. He doesn't drive a "good lexus." He drives a "hood lexus."

There are worse things than being a Toyota. You could be a Mercedes.

The fact is, Lexus has an incredible quality reputation that is not declining. Mercedes' reputation for quality has been declining in recent years. The acquisition by Chrysler did not help. Chrysler, like other American cars, aims to appeal by promoting their powerful engines. The really good car manufacturers promote their quality and safety first.

By the way, do you know that Lexus has a car that can do zero to 60 in 5.3 seconds and gets 30 mpg? Find that in any other car if you can!!

I own a Toyota and a Lexus, and they are great cars. I've also owned Fords, Chevys, Dodge, VW, Mitsubishi, Fiat, Buick, Pontiac, and although all were good cars, they did not compare with the Toyota and Lexus.

Umm the person above is an idiot because Lexus had innovations in the early 1990's that Mercedes didn't come out with until the late 90's. Mercedes is a nice car but for the money, Lexus owns them and every other car maker in their class. Suck on that

Luxury car manufacturer under Toyota. Lexus's are some of the best quality cars ever built, the engine will last you forever, as it was rated to be the most reliable auto maker.

The name "Lexus" is derived from Toyota's LE(luxury edition cars), US(United States), and X which is taken from the word luxury, with the overall meaning to say "Luxury Edition for the United States." Put the acronyms together and you get "Lexus."

It is true that Lexus's are really Toyota's in Japan, but that doesn't mean they are cheap. In Germany and most of Europe, Mercedes's are cheap as well, just like some of the Toyota's and Lexus's in America you guys have been referring to be "cheap."

You drive a Lexus? Damn you're rich!
