An adjective used to describe any person, event, or organization that is associated with excessive alcohol consumption. Derived from the fact that in colonial times approximately three times as much liquor was consumed, per capita, by the population of the United States.

Used in former Spanish colonies especially the Philippines. Definition: A young lady attending an all female academic institution, usually run by a religious Order. The school is usually a convent doubling as a school. Until the '60s even the teaching and administrative staff were female. The student may be in the grades, high school or college.

A parent who has just enrolled a daughter in an "exclusive" and probably expensive school run by nuns of a prestigious Order: "Remember, you are now a colegiala, so always behave properly.

The Reverse Colonial

In Colonial times, it wasn't considered gay if a man was a top in sexual intercourse between two men. This was regarded as a normal, heterosexual act.

But The Reverse Colonial refers to a man being on bottom in sexual intercourse between two men and him (and possibly only him) not considering it to be anything but heterosexual.

Mike: You slept with Todd last night!? And you were on bottom!? How gay you are!
