Purple helmets

A motorcycle display team who specialise in riding displays performed without clothing. Many of the displays have humourous edge (farting through a trumpet or balancing spinning plate whilst riding a motorcycle etc).
They can be seen at many biking events in the UK and their performance is both entertaining and enlightening.

look at the funny motorcyclists with no clothes on, ooh how rude! They are called the Purple Helmets.

Helmer

Synonym for internet forum troll. This type of troll remains on topic, but will use other, more subtle tactics to inflame and incite other posters.

These tactics vary, ranging from purposefully aggravating signatures, avatars or fonts.

An inside joke of the Helmer is to use the word Helmer in the username, signature or avatar. It's a reference to the infamous "Helmer mass banning" that occurred on the My Little Pony forum in 2004.

Poster1 : That guy has some good points, but he has a picture of Jesus bullfighting an anus for his av and his font makes him seem really pretentious. Is it just me, or is that guy a gimmick?

Poster2 : He's not a gimmick, he's a Helmer, ignore him.

tripping helmet

A handkerchief or similar piece of fabric used as a headcovering, created by folding said fabric in half diagonally, placing folded edge against forehead, and securing it by tying three points into a knot at the back of the head. Traditionally worn by young males who are often involved in recreational drug use, hence the term "tripping" helmet.
