Beatdown Hardcore

Hardcore sub-genre formed after year 2000. Typical for it it's really hard sound, slower tempo, explicit and violent lyrics, breakdowns and little select of hard guitar riffs.

Lyrics are mostly about tough life, humanity, money, friends, power, lies,... Pretty much influenced by hip hop culture and music. Nowadays crossed with trap rap.
On the gigs there are more typical harder type of moshing (slam, crowd killing, capoera moves,...)

Bands like Nasty, Words Of Concrete, Cold Hard Truth,...

A - "Hey! I was at the Words Of Concrete gig yesterday!"

B - "Great! That's the beatdown hardcore band, right? I bet there were many freaks crowd killing each other. "
A - "Indeed. And also there were a merch shop. They sold their new album Negative Vibes on vinyl record!"

hardcore kid

A fan of the hardcore music scene. Sometimes, but not always, straight-edge. Their clothing is usually either basketball shorts and track shoes for freedom of movement while hardcore dancing or tight pants and a band t-shirt. Bands can include, but are not limited to, Throwdown, Terror, Hatebreed, Norma Jean, Between the Buried and Me, etc.

4) wear FUR, cause hxc kids kill animals
5) black or white belt, with spikes, NOTHING ELSE
6) fanny pack, orange with dinosaurs
7) IPOD!! so you can listen to music at shows! 2 KINDS AT ONCE!
8) wear some bling, cause hey rap is hardcore too
9) listen to obnoxious loud screaming music, ESPECIALLY when you can't decipher the words :D

Post-Hardcore

Post-hardcore, as the name might suggest, is a musical offshoot of the hardcore punk movement. The earliest appearances of the genre were in Washington, D.C. in the mid- to late-1980s (see the era's releases on Dischord Records, for example), though it was not widely known until the early 1990s. Post-hardcore, as a musical genre, is marked by its precise rhythms and loud guitar-based instrumentation accompanied by vocal performances that are as often sung as whispered or shouted. The genre has developed a unique balance of dissonance and melody, in part channeling the loud and fast hardcore ethos into more measured, subtle forms of tension and release. It shares with its hardcore roots an intensity and social awareness as well as a DIY punk ethic, yet eschews much of the unfocused rage and loose, sometimes amatuerish musicianship of punk rock.

Side note: Everyone bitches about My Chemical Romance being 'emo' but MCR fits more into the Post-Hardcore catogory than anything.
