A politician so steeped in fear that he/she cannot make a decision, pass a bill or do anything that will jeopardize their re-election chances.

Representative Smith was such a Republicannot that he couldn't vote yes or even allow a discussion of the an immigration reform bill for fear his vote would come back to haunt him/her in the next election.

Republigay

Formerly known as "in the closet". The act of being gay but hiding it for work or political reasons.

OMG Bob is so Republigay. He might as well hang out in airport bathrooms!

Token Republican

A character that is only there to make the TV show or movie appeal to Republicans everywhere and to make the show seem less liberal.

The typical Token Republican will worship Ronald Reagan or George Bush, be against abortion, and complain about taxes.

Some examples of a Token Republican are Alex P. Keaton (Family Ties), Elliot Reid (Scrubs), Chartlon Banks (Fresh Prince of Bel-Air), and Jack Donaghy (30 Rock).

Republican Party

A conservative political party in the United States that represents the interests of 1 percent of the population, which also happens to be the richest people in the country. They have managed to create a mass base of support that consists of over one half of the U.S. population by duping them into believing they also represent their interests, when in fact they don't give a shit about the poor, blacks, minorities, women, and anything and everything that has to do with making life pleasant for everyone else.

I hate the Republican Party. It's full of a bunch of racist, self-righteous, greedy assholes.

Redneck Republican

Another term for a common Republican, using a bit of alliteration for dramatic effect. Though specifically describing white rural voters who vote against their own economic (and often social) interests by voting Republican, it can describe virtually anybody at a Tea Party rally as well.

Even though the Republicans have very anti-working class policies, these Redneck Republicans keep voting them in.
