It is a traditional practice where a married man transfers all belongings under his name to a close relative of his shortly into his marriage to protect himself from possible greedy and selfless abuse of a divorce by his wife resulting in him losing 50% of all belongings or a possibly higher proportion.
I might follow hakimi's law to protect myself soon, I'm worried my partner will divorce me for my money and belongings.
