A relative of the words shmoosh and shleesh. It is generally used as a word to express curiosity in a matter.
On it's own in a sentence the word is usually increased in pitch at the end, just like normally asking a question, see example 1 below. Shmoo may be added as a prefix, suffix or stem of a word. Shmoogi

A game with two players played in school. The object of the game is to tap your opponent's elbow when they're not looking. Their elbow must be creased at a right or acute angle for it to count. A tab is kept to see who gets the most points in one day. The one with the most taps (points) wins.
Sarah taps Simone's creased elbow while Simone's head is turned
Sarah: Yes! I have a point!
Simone: I always forget to pay attention to my elbow! Shmoogi is so hard! I'll get you back tomorrow!

shmooglie

A shmooglie is a noun. Although it can be tossed around to replace a variety of different words, a 'shmooglie' is most often found in the mammalia kingdom. Most would not like to be called a 'shmooglie,' unless you are a femile-type-critter whose owner loves the woodlands. Shmooglie can be used in a creepy way if said in a creepy 'endearing' sort of voice. After cats, shmooglie can be used to refer to loved ones. It is synonymous with "dear" or "honey," yet it is a little more uncomfortable.

Other renditions: schmooglie, shmoogliemuffin
Bridgit: "Hi shmoogliemoooglieooliemuffinnn"
Cat: "Meow"

Bridgit: "sup, schmooglie" ;)
Jessica: "please don't call me that"
