A lot of people seem to be fooled by the hype into thinking that The Last Samurai is somehow profund because it is boring.
Wrong, it is boring because the writing is terrible and paper thin and the direction tries to gloss over the fact that there's little story by using slow motion and "touching" music to make believe you're watching a "message" movie.
The only message, is "stay away". You'll want your time and money back at the end of this empty (and incidentally horribly photographed) film.

Get the trollmug. Meant as an excessive form of lolling. Like "lols (lulz)" is short for lololololololol, "trolls" is short for "trolololololol", except has a greater meaning and effect than "lols (lulz)"
