When something is considered underrated by everyone, making it actually overrated or vice versa

There's been so many posts about this character being underrated, I'm starting to think they're actually just rated.

Average, just as you expected, neither underrated nor overrated. Similar to "mid" but with a less negative connotation.

"Bro what'd you think of the movie?"
"Ehh it was rated. Cool story but the acting was mid af."

Rated Z

Rated Z (adjective) – A groundbreaking, unofficial movie rating that goes beyond Rated R or X, reserved for films so intense, innovative, and unfiltered that only the most mature audiences can handle them. “Viewer discretion is highly advised” doesn’t even cut it—these films redefine boundaries.

The term originates from Zaqube, a visionary director whose style is so distinct, boundary-pushing, and unpredictable that a whole new rating was necessary. If a film is Rated Z, expect raw storytelling, mind-blowing visuals, and an experience unlike anything you’ve seen before.

Example:
