Get the Meme Renaissance mug.A derogatory term used on the 4chan's board /pol to indicate a flag that doesn't denote the geographical origin of the person writing a post or a thread.
Context:
Among the many boards of 4chan, /pol (short for "politically incorrect") is the only one in which every poster is identified by a flag that displays his/her geographical origin. During the last year, a new feature has been implemented on /pol: the possibility to post under a flag denoting an affiliation to a particular political party/religion/ethical value/etc. (i.e.: the national socialist flag, the communist flag, the jihadi one, the "tree hugger" one for environmentalists, the LGTB one, etc.), rather than your own country's flag. While many see this as a possibility to express their affiliation to a particular ideology, many other consider posting under such flags as act of cowardice: in other words, a poster using an "ideological" flag is seen as someone who is ashamed to use his own country's flag, or someone who avoids displaying his geographical origin, fearing that this may lead others to judge him on behalf of his geographical origin rather than his/her ideas.
Because of this, the term "memeflag" was coined: a term used for all ideological flags, where the prefix "meme" is used in a derogatory sense, meaning "not serious", "ridiculous", or similar.

Get the Hussein in the Membrane mug."Free will is a myth. Religion is a joke. We are all pawns, controlled by something greater: Memes. The DNA of the soul. They shape our will. They are the culture -- they are everything we pass on. Expose someone to anger long enough, they will learn to hate. They become a carrier. Envy, greed, despair... All memes. All passed along." -Monsoon, MGR;R
