Part of the skin that has been tattooed on and can be felt by touch as protruding above the epidermis creating a sense of an extra layer over the epidermis.

Hyper dermis can be very sensitive to sun exposure.

For most, they experience this in the face, ears and neck areas, it rarely travels down the body. If such happens, speak to your local GP or surgery about getting a cream to help.
