Zone of the Enders

A criminally overlooked game that sold well only because of the MGS2 demo that came with it. After MGS2 was released in stores, pre-owned shelves were filled with this mecha-masterpiece. Dammit Kojima, STOP BEING SO FUCKING AWESOME.

Paraphrasing Tycho of Penny Arcade: "The Metal Gear Solid demo hits stores on (day), and comes with another game, which I thought was really nice of Konami."

Zone of the Enders is also an anime series that I don't know enough about to comment on.

safe zone

A "zone" or area in which a human being feels safe - usually some place familiar, where they feel they have some control over what happens.

A "safe zone" can be a phyiscal place or even a state of mind - one can be "outside their safe zone" when standing in front of a crowd, giving a speech.

I get very nervous in front of a crowd of people, so that is obviously not part of my safe zone.

He's very familiar with the town he lives in; therefore, a sudden move would likely take him out of his safe zone.

When you're interested in taking your friendly relations with a girl to the next level and she rejects you, with her reason being you are like an older or younger brother figure for her. Basically a dead end to any further advances.
