forward slash

An unnecessary name for slash (/), denoted with the same key that is used for the question mark (which requires the use of the SHIFT key when pressing that button, and the slash is that button without SHIFT). The backslash (\) is differentiated by the "back" in its name (the button just above the ENTER key), and it is essentially a different "slash." The "forward" slash leans "forward" in the sense of reading from left to right.

But really a forward slash is just a goddamn slash.

Person 1: "OK the web address for my awesome site is http colon forward slash forward slash www dot awesomesite dot com."

Person 2: "Dude, you can just say 'slash.' Really you can just say 'awesomesite dot com' and I'll get it."

salt lake slash

When someone is at a Salt Lake City hardcore show and a straight edge kid with a razor blade slashes a X on their back. This is to signify that this is a Straight Edge show you you should not be there.

The Hippie stoner got what was coming to him when he went to an Earth Crisis show and got a "salt lake slash."

Expression to describe not doing something, referring to international signs that have a circle and a slash around something, like smoking or littering. Used recently in a stand-up comedy performance by Brian Posehn.

A suprise attack when the attaker chops the ballsack in half by useing an agressive underhand uppercut. Ushally splitting the sack as the two nuts are realased from there chamber.
