Labtop

Lab•top started with high school/college kids in the 90s as a slang for laptop. When you went to school and used a laptop in your lab class you would put it on top of the lap table; calling it a lab•top. It was also a way to point out the smart rich kids that had them. “People” with lower income would call them “Labtops” meaning something smart people used for their smart classes like “lab”. Lower educated people kept it going for decades.

For my lower income people I love you but it’s laptop.

Look at them geeks in their class with their labtops!
