Someone looking particularly unattractive, usually early in the morning or late at night. Characteristics include squinty eyes, hair pressed flat against head, puffy features. Usually the result of poor or no sleep and/or way too late/early to be up and moving around.

She washed her face and brushed her hair, but a naked mole rat still stared back at her in the mirror.

After playing video games all night he was more naked mole rat than human.

Mole Rat

1: Small, underground dwelling mammal. Has hardly any fur and. Pretty awesome really.

2: Another name for a penis because of the remarkable resemblance the mole rat holds to a shrivled, old, un-circumcised penis.

If your penis looks EXACTLY the same as a mole rat, you should probably have the teeth removed before attempting sexual contact with your partner.

Wack-a-mole effect

When you are studying for an exam and as soon as moving on to the next definition/topic you're studying, you forget the prior thing that you just learned/memorized. Analogous to playing the arcade game "wack-a-mole"--once you hit one mole, another pops up.

When I was studying for my archaeology test I finally memorized the information for Tenochtitlan, but then forgot all the information I learned for Machu Picchu. The wack-a-mole effect failed me again.
