Montu

Because of this god's association with the successful King Nebhepetre Montuhotep I (or II, same king), who ruled during Egypt's 11th Dynasty, Montu (Mentu) achieved the rank of state god. Montuhotep I reunited Upper and Lower Egypt after the chaos of the First Intermediate Period. His association with Montu is obvious from his name, which means, "Montu is satisfied.” However, by the 12th Dynasty, Montu became subordinated to Amun, another deity who probably originated in Upper Egypt, and would later be known as the "King of Gods". It was during this period that Montu's role in Egyptian religion took on the true attributes of a war god.

Actually, Montu's veneration as a war god can be traced originally to the Story of Sinuhe, where Montu was praised by the tale's hero after he defeated the "strong man" of Retjenu. By the New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty pharaohs, some of whom followed a very military tradition, sought specifically to emulate Montu. For example, the Gebel Barkal Stele of Tuthmosis III, often referred to as the Napoleon of Egypt, describes the king as "a valiant Montu on the battlefield". Later in the New Kingdom, he became so personally identified with the Ramesses II that a cult statue bearing the king's throne name, Usermaare Setepenre, with the epithet, "Montu in the Two Lands", was venerated in Ramesses II's honor during his lifetime. When kings such as Ramesses II are referenced as "mighty bulls", they are claiming the association with Montu as his son. It should also be noted that Montu had a connection with Egyptian households and was probably considered a protector of the happy home. He was often cited in marriage documents. One document from Deir el-Medina invokes the rage of a husband to his unfaithful wife with, "It is the abomination of Montu!"

monta vista

1.A place where everyone is asian, and wears Abercrombie. There is a small group of emo kids mixed in there. Other then that, nada. Or whatever the Chinese word for nothing is. There are about three fat people, and everyone else weighs all of six pounds.

None of the guys there have ever heard of zit cream, I swear.

2. A high school where everyone has a GPA of 5.0. If one of them gets anything less than an A, they'll slit their wrists. Seriously, It's happened.

3. Land of the Miniskirts. There is no dress code. You could come to school wearing nothing but stickers on your nipples and not get in trouble.

4. Home of the Matadors. Yes, we are the bull killers who get killed by bulls, and dress up in sparkly clothing. Why couldn't we be something less embarassing, like the Monta Vista.. Moose?

5. Everyone there is either over six feet or under five. Makes being five'seven" hard.

Montclair High School

A high school in Montclair, New Jersey. Probably the most unique high school in the country. In this high school, because of the extreme mix of races and social classes, the proximity to Newark, East orange, orange, paterson, and New York, the money provided by the upper class whites, the open campus and non caring security guards, weed is a common bonding practice. Everybody in the 2200 person high school smokes weed, and if you dont everyone knows who you are. Everyone smoked an average of 4 times a day, 2 of those times occuring during school hours. The black people and the white people all bond over big butts and blunts. The atmosphere is that not even close to what you would see anywhere else. The brainiac nerds also happen to be stoned out of their minds 90% of the time. The culture is all aroud weed and the responsibility to do well at the school is all on the student. They can do whatever they want, light up an L on midland ave entrance to school, smoke in a class room, anything. The school is LOOSE. The people are crazy, that shit is intense. The music is primarily rap that they listen to and the students are exposed to EVERYTHING. All of the students use words that end up coming out in rap songs 5 years later. You can't understand these students when they speak, they have their own language. everyone onds over one thing in this 1/2 GHETTO 1/2 PREPPY 1/2 ARTSY 1/2 CRAZY TOWN.... bally.

Monty Python

A group of hilarious British chaps, whom created such astounding comedic works as "Monty Python and The Holy Grail", "Life of Brian", "Monty Python's Meaning of Life", and the 45 episode Tv series called "Monty Python's Flying Circus" that first aired in On BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) in 1969 then in the U.S. five years later.

Made up of six men, John Cleese, Eric Idle, Micheal Palin, Terry Gillam, Terry Jones, and Graham Chapman (deceased). All of these men are exceedingly good actors and have brilliant comedic minds. Now all around there 60s or 70s.
