"gals" is a term used in Japan to refer to girls who are obviously trend-conscious. high school-aged gals came to be known as "ko-gal", originally from kôkôsei (high school) gal, later interpreted as "child (ko)" girl.

Get the KO punchmug. A 1986 comedic Japanese anime film. At the time, it was considered to be an ecchi anime. The anime essentially parodies and satirizes various genres of fiction such as the superhero genre, the fantasy genre, the space opera genre and other science fiction genres. After its debut, 3 sequels also followed. These original films were pretty much a big excuse for the main protagonist to destroy and wreck things.
The only reason why anyone would watch Project A-Ko is due to the "Project A-Ko the Versus" OVA which came in 2 parts: The Grey Side and the Blue Side. This OVA has one of the most powerful anime characters around in the form of the Dragon God, which is, well, a 3-headed dragon deity which tried to destroy the universe as well as the other alternate universes. Pretty much, this OVA is one big giant excuse for the Dragon God to wreck things.

Get the Kosmug. Knee ko is a term coined by a new member on mmaforum named "sudnvictory". It's a clever spin off of the commonly used term tko, meaning technical knockout. Apparently "sdv", who's name I've condensed, felt it necessary to create a new thread about this 'groundbreaking' new term after only having 4 posts. Now his reputation is shattered and he will be the butt end of every joke, relieving 'Tito-Fan' of his duties. But even through all these hardships from other members, the staff, and mods he still manages to stake claim to his term without waivering. For this I give him credit and his term will forever be used in modern day MMA.
