The economic face of Jesus as imagined by (some) Republicans. Usually used as a sarcastic retort when economic interests seem to be placed ahead of social justice.

"Corporate taxes raised to fund child health care."

Supply-side Jesus would be sad.

sidechain

-1) In audio technology, the term refers to the reduce in amplitude of an audio input waveform when another waveform is played at the same time. I don't really know how to explain it , but the best example would be heard in radios , when the song suddenly becomes softer when the DJ starts speaking. Thats side-chaining.
It is also used frequently in modern music too , especially trance and house music. An example would be Dash Berlin - Till the Sky Falls Down. Dance tracks (I don't know the right genre) uses them too , like Only Girl , where the pad is sidechained to the kickdrum.

-2 ) The most overused audio effect.

-3 ) The reason why modern music sounds so bad.

Sidechained Basslines are really wicked awesome!!

The ingredients to a generic trance tracks are..

1)Vengeance drum loops , hi hats , claps and kicks.
2)Nexus , and lots of presets from other VSTs.

And finally...

3) Lots of LOTS OF SIDECHAIN!!!

side project

n. A band/group/project that is an alternate to the main band that the artist is working with or known for.

Examples: Team Sleep is a side project of Deftones lead singer Chino Moreno.
Head Automatica is a side project of Glassjaw members Larry Gorman and Daryl Palumbo.
A Perfect Circle was a side project of Tool singer Maynard James Keenan
Zakk Wylde launched his own side project out of Ozzy Ozbourne's band, which later became Black Label Society.
Gorillaz was originally a side project for all of its members, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, Damon of Blur, and Dan The Automator.

The latest incursion of this is Institute featuring Gavin Rossdale of Bush and the former members of Helmet.

low side

Motorcycle roadracing term used to describe a crash in which the bike is leaned over while cornering and falls down towards the inside (i.e. the low side). A low side usually occurs when front wheel traction is suddenly lost.

The flip side of this (no pun intended) is a high side crash.

Billy lost the front going into Turn 1 and low sided.

Side Quest

Any period of time where you and your friends go out without initial purpose or expectations. Usually in the early hours of the morning or late at night, side quests last as long as everyone is still out away from their home, dorm, or common meeting space. Side quests usually happen after a "main quest," scheduled hang out or party and usually feature less people than the original main quest.

"I'm bored but idk what to do... wanna just go out?"
"Hell yeah man let's go on a side quest!"
