Cutting down a hill sideways while snowboarding, normally on your heal edge, to let you go slowly down steep terrain.

I was leafing down the chute because I am not that good of a boarder yet.

When some one tells you a sarcastic remark or comment and you respond in a way that you think is funny/cheeky but does the opposite. It makes you seem weird/humourless/stupid/full of yourself/ a wanna-be etc
