Elliott tells his little sister Gertie dat, "Grown-ups can't see E.T. --- only little kids can see him." Gertie thinks dat said "Our space-man friend is an encryptid" assertion is just a bunch of hogwash, however.

when your mother sends you a text message containing a string of indecipherable emoticons that make no sense but that she believes actually translate into a complete sentence from the English language or at least an organized thought that most readers can interpret and fully understand, but of course, don't.

Damn, IT encrypted my entire hard drive but accidentally deleted my encryption key so now my laptop is hopelessly encrupted.
