well fuck you if you do this. don't. don't say something is 'autistic' if you think its weird, don't call someone autistic if they're not, don't say 'autism' with no context as if it's a joke- it's not. seriously, fuck you if you do this. stop it, get some help, anyone with any type of autism is better than you.

Person 1: "hey did you hear insert dickhead's name using autism as an insult?"
Person 2: "yeah, let's go beat them up and call them neurotypical."

Okay, there is a lot of misunderstanding when it comes to autistic people. The REAL reason why they are so misunderstood is because people are not listening to the actual autistic people themselves when they hear about autism. Autism is typically said with a negative connotation. For this reason, people like to use autism as an insult, which would make sense if autism was actually bad. Additionally, autistic people often face some form of stigma such as ableism, or discrimination against disabled people. Think of autistic people as square pegs trying to fit into round holes. Instead of trying to change the autistic people into round pegs, try changing the holes into square holes. There is a reason why autistic people can be seen as reclusive or antisocial at times. It is because they know about the bad things people do to each other.

Embrace autistic people whenever you can, and they will take you to places you’ve never been to before.

I’m actually autistic myself, so this is why I wrote this definition. I hope you have learned at least a little from it.

A person who publicly identifies as autistic, especially on social media, because it is trendy to wear an identity crisis like a badge of honor. Con autists typically suffer from hypochondria and conceal ulterior motives.

Spike: Have you noticed all these Instagram influencers talking about being autistic nowadays? There are ADHD and even schizophrenia influencers, too. Whose bright idea was it to market personality types as legitimate mental illnesses?
Jet: Yeah, you know the pharmaceutical industry makes a fortune daily by convincing people that they're crazy. Classic con artists.
Spike: More like con autists...

Sudden Onset Autism

Sudden Onset Autism, or S.O.A for short, is an extremely rare condition of unknown origin. Development of this disease is both abrupt and severe. As of now, the pathogenesis and mode of infection have eluded even the most qualified of research teams at Harvard, Hopkins, and Yale. Some have suspected that transmission occurs through contact with an infected person, especially prandially. There is still hope for a cure, although we may be decades away.

Infected Person: Hey man, let's go grab some lunch
Healthy Individual: what?! It's 3 in the morning. What's wrong with you
Infected Person: Well... it's lunchtime somewhere!
Healthy Individual: Oh God, you have Sudden Onset Autism... Please go away from me!
