Reaction Formation.

A psychoanalytic term first described by Sigmund Freud. A defense mechanism employed to avoid true emotions. Reaction Formation occurs when person displays the opposite emotions of what he/she is really feeling. The avoidance of pain through psychological defense mechanisms. Can be done subconsciously.

When your girlfriend says, "I can't wait to move back to California." She really means, "I'm going to be completely heartbroken when I leave on December 22nd." By displaying the opposite emotion, she is utilizing reaction formation.

Sneeze Reaction

The time between a sneeze and the first person to say "bless you". There is usually one person in the crowd with a fast sneeze reaction time that starts off the "bless you" chain reaction where multiple people in the room all say bless the person for sneezing... for some reason.

Dave: "Ahh Chooo"
Matt: Bless you
4 more people: bless you
Dave: Damn Matt that was like a half second sneeze reaction, did you see it coming?
Matt: Nah, I'm just good.

Reactionist

A self-proclaimed artist who has nothing original to offer and only reacts, negatively or hyper-negatively, to other forms of art, events in society and politics. A critic ashamed of admitting his/her true job description. A resentful twat who marks every new thing as either "been-there-done-that" or something of the form "kids-these-days...". A reactionary, but only limited to political context.

Abby: Have you seen Dave's comments on Rachel's troll-faced concert pics!! Burn!!
Daisy: Which Dave? The guy who blogs about every other thing???
Abby: Who else??!! He's the first to respond in any case!
Daisy: I know!! He's such a reactionist.

of, pertaining to, marked by facial reaction caused by consumption of something a consumer finds distasteful. It is completely reactionary and cannot be simulated effectively.

Example 1:

Andre: My favorite drink is Vodka and Red Bull.

Steve: Vodka is nasty, I can't even drink it without getting reaction face.

Example 2:
"Jorge is such a douche, watch how he gets reaction face every time he takes a shot."
