Return on investment (ROI) is a performance measure used to evaluate the efficiency or profitability of an investment or compare the efficiency of a number of different investments. ROI tries to directly measure the amount of return on a particular investment, relative to the investment’s cost.

ROI (Racist on Impact): adjective

A tongue-in-cheek term used to describe an inanimate object that humorously appears to cause a socially awkward or prejudiced incident upon contact or arrival. Often used in a satirical context to highlight the absurdity of attributing human characteristics or social issues to non-sentient objects.

Example: "When the billboard fell and only damaged the restaurant with the minority owner's name, it was jokingly described as an ROI event – Racist on Impact."
